IMAGE SIZE:
|
The print size varies slightly depending on the aspect
ratio of the image and the fact that we print most of our images as full
frame prints.
While
6 x 7cm and 4 x 5 inch film dimensions approximate the traditional paper
dimensions, 35mm has a longer aspect ratio. In order to print the full
35mm image, a portion of the paper (widthwise) is unused. The actual
image dimensions are therefore smaller. Actual Print Dimensions typically
includes
a minimun of 1" white border on all sides. |
EDITIONS:
|
Photographs 8" x 10" and larger that were printed prior
to the introduction of digital imaging are limited to editions of 100
regardless of printing
method. Photographs created since the introduction of the digital
printing techniques are signed and numbered sequentially as open editions, regardless
of printing technique. |
PRESENTATION:
|
All images are matted to museum
specifications on 4-ply, bright white, acid-free mount board. Prints
are typically floated in
a window mat with
a white border of at least 1/2-inch on all sides. Lightjet
and Epson Premium Luster images larger than 20x24 are dry-mounted on 3/8-inch archival
foamcore and the
mat
is sealed
to
the mount board. We typically frame the prints with style 50 Nielson
German Silver metal sectional frames for sizes up to 20x24.
* Square prints typically are created from manipulated
Polaroids that have been scanned for enlargement. QuietWorks offers a
custom hand-crafted
welded metal frame for these prints for an additional fee. Contact
us
for quotes.
** Larger
prints are framed with Nielson
German Silver style 71. Other custom frames may be available
on special
request. |

While some prints may already be on hand, most are custom
prints made for individual orders; please allow 2 weeks for delivery.
